In the early morning hours of April 8, 2020, in Bessemer, Alabama, the life of 36-year-old Jeffery S. Burke was tragically cut short. An altercation in the 1700 block of Fairfax Alley around 7 a.m. resulted in Burke being fatally stabbed. Following the incident, Burke attempted to drive away from the scene but crashed his vehicle a block away. He was discovered wounded by neighbors, and despite efforts to save him, he was pronounced dead at 7:18 a.m.
