In the early morning hours of July 5, 2019, the body of 23-year-old Heather Suzan Roberson, a White/Caucasian female, was discovered in a grassy area near railroad tracks in the 700 block of Antwerp Avenue in Birmingham, Alabama. Birmingham Police officers responded to a call at approximately 7:13 a.m. and found the young woman deceased at the scene. The Jefferson County Coroner's Office later identified her through fingerprint analysis and determined that she had died from a gunshot wound.
