On July 5, 2019, at approximately 7:13 a.m., Birmingham Police officers responded to a report of a deceased individual in the 700 block of Antwerp Avenue, near the Oak Ridge Park community. Upon arrival, they discovered the body of 23-year-old Heather Suzan Roberson lying in a grassy area adjacent to railroad tracks. The Jefferson County Coroner's Office identified Roberson through fingerprint analysis and determined that she had died from a gunshot wound.
