On June 14, 2019, 42-year-old DeMegious McAlle Osborne was fatally shot in broad daylight on 5th Street North in Birmingham, Alabama. Responding to reports of an assault, officers discovered Osborne lying in the roadway; he was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigations revealed that the suspect took money from Osborne before fleeing.
