On June 27, 2019, 27-year-old Cory Tyron Mitchell was fatally shot in Cottondale, Alabama. The incident occurred around 10:30 p.m. at his residence on Clearview Street. According to reports, Mitchell approached a vehicle that had arrived in front of his house, at which point an occupant of the vehicle opened fire, resulting in Mitchell's death at the scene.
