In the late hours of a summer night in Fort Mill, South Carolina, a young girl named Katherine Santos vanished from her mother's home. The date was August 5, 2023, and the 12-year-old was last seen leaving the residence in the middle of the night. It is thought that she did not leave alone, but was accompanied by a male juvenile from Charlotte, North Carolina. While she was last seen wearing pajamas, Katherine had packed all of her clothing, suggesting a planned departure.
