In the late autumn of 1975, a sense of unease settled over the small town of Fort Mill, South Carolina, with the sudden and perplexing disappearance of 39-year-old Sara Yvonne Griffin. Known to her loved ones as 'Von,' she was a woman with long, wavy brown hair, brown eyes, and a few distinguishing features: a scar near her left eye and a mole on the left side of her jaw.
