On April 12, 2019, the body of 46-year-old Billy Walker Powell Jr. was discovered in Bayview Lake near Pleasant Grove, Alabama. Fishermen found his remains floating in the water and promptly notified authorities. Upon arrival, deputies located the body on the lake's north side, accessible only by boat. The Jefferson County Coroner's Office identified the deceased as Powell, whose last known residence was in Trussville.
