On May 31, 2019, at approximately 9:27 p.m., Jefferson County Sheriff's deputies responded to a shooting at the Charter East Apartments on 15th Terrace N.E. in Center Point, Alabama. Upon arrival, they discovered 53-year-old Herman Williams suffering from a gunshot wound. Williams was transported to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
