On December 20, 2019, 27-year-old Cadarius Munford was fatally shot in Brighton, Alabama. Deputies from the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office responded to the 1200 block of Water Street, near Brighton City Hall, around 11 a.m., where they discovered Munford deceased from a gunshot wound. Investigations revealed that the shooting resulted from an ongoing dispute between Munford and 32-year-old Vijay Ramure Lipscomb.
