On a late morning in June of 2022, a silver Mercury Marquis was traveling down Carson Road in the Center Point area of Jefferson County, Alabama. Inside the vehicle were two adults and a six-year-old child, their day tragically and irrevocably altered in an instant. At approximately 11:50 a.m. on June 23rd, the car was besieged by gunfire from an unknown assailant.
