A quiet Sunday evening in Graysville, Alabama, took a tragic turn on November 26, 2023, ending in the death of 30-year-old Dimetri Leon Phillips. Phillips, a male resident of Cordova and believed to be from the Birmingham area, was discovered fatally shot inside his vehicle at the intersection of Highway 78 and North Main Street. The initial call to police was for a man stopped in his car at a stop sign, but upon arrival, it was evident that a violent crime had occurred.
