In the early hours of a Sunday morning in Milwaukee, the life of 21-year-old Tanya R. Maki, a Caucasian female, was tragically cut short. On April 6, 2008, at approximately 2:30 a.m., the sound of several gunshots echoed through the parking lot of an apartment complex on the 10100 block of W. Fountain Ave. Residents, startled by the noise, soon discovered Maki's body in the lot.
