In the early morning hours of November 10, 2016, a burst of violence on a Milwaukee street cut short the life of Leroy R. Singleton, a 42-year-old Black/African American man. The fatal encounter unfolded around 3:15 a.m. in the 5600 block of W. Philip Place. Singleton sustained gunshot wounds and was rushed to a local hospital, but his injuries proved to be too severe, and he succumbed to them.
