Helene “Nikki” Anderson, a 27-year-old Black woman, was found slain inside her Bremerton, Washington home on January 30, 1986. That winter evening, shortly before 9 p.m., responders entered the living room of the Magnolia Drive residence and discovered Nikki and her 4-year-old daughter, Adrienne, both strangled; her 8-month-old son was unharmed in a nearby playpen.
