Middle of the night gunfire leads to 1 dead
On April 2, 2007, 46-year-old Russell Grant Valentine Jr. was found fatally shot in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Responding to reports of gunfire in the 6000 block of Wesleyan Drive, police discovered Valentine's body lying in a yard, suffering from a gunshot wound. He was quickly transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The Virginia State Medical Examiner’s Office ruled his death a homicide.
