Do you know who murdered 24 year old Brandon Peller? On a Sunday morning in September 2012, the life of 24-year-old Brandon Peller was tragically cut short. Around 11:30 a.m. on September 16th, a man arrived at Chesapeake Regional Medical Center with Peller, who had sustained a fatal gunshot wound to his neck. Peller, a resident of Norfolk, Virginia, was pronounced dead upon arrival. The man who brought him to the hospital claimed to have found him at an unknown location and denied having any knowledge of the shooting.
Investigators
believe Peller was at a friend's house earlier that day and may have left to do some side work. His cell phone records indicated his last known location was in the Kempsville and Centerville area, near the border of Virginia Beach and Chesapeake. It is believed that one of Peller's brothers and an acquaintance were on their way to pick him up for a side job when they were flagged down by an unknown vehicle. An unidentified person in that vehicle informed them that Peller had been shot. The two men then put Peller in their black Nissan sedan and drove him to the hospital. One of the brothers stayed with Peller at the hospital while the acquaintance drove away. That vehicle was later found and processed by investigators in Virginia Beach. Peller's own silver Mercedes was located on Saddlehorn Drive in Chesapeake.
The case remains an unsolved homicide, and the Chesapeake Police Department continues to seek information from the public. Detectives have expressed their belief that there are people who have firsthand knowledge of the events that led to Peller's death but have not come forward. In an effort to generate new leads, police released a photograph of a man they wished to question in connection with the murder. Brandon Peller's family has publicly expressed their grief and desire for closure, urging anyone with information to come forward. A reward of up to $1,500 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest.
