A man is shot by someone trying to force their way into his home
On April 14, 1986, 25-year-old Terry L. Bakker was murdered outside his home in Salt Lake City, Utah. Early that morning, Bakker was alerted by noises at the front door of his residence. When he went to investigate, he partially opened the door, only for a suspect to force it the rest of the way open. The suspect then fled, and Bakker pursued him across the lawn.
