On August 27, 2007, Demorris Grant, aged 35, was found fatally shot at his apartment located at 1620 Enclave Parkway in Houston, Texas. The incident took place around 4:30 p.m., and emergency responders transported Grant to Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital, where he was pronounced dead from a gunshot wound to the chest.
Following the discovery of Grant's body, police began their investigation.
During this period, several potential suspects were considered, but progress was initially slow, and no arrests were made in the early stages of the investigation. As with many homicide cases, evidence collection and processing were critical. Unfortunately, it took years before any new leads were discovered, leaving the case unsolved for some time.
