On Friday, June 20, 2014, Pedro Diaz had been at his Refresqueria Azteca Chill refreshments business located at 74 Aldine Bender Road. After an uneventful evening at the business, Mr. Diaz left the business sometime after 9:00 pm. Mr. Diaz left in his vehicle and traveled east on Mill Stream Lane, a residential street, going to his home.
