On September 13, 2007, German Hernandez, aged 28, was killed in southwest Houston during a confrontation at a convenience store. Hernandez and his friends went to a Shell store at Fondren and Harwin around 12:50 a.m. While they waited in their car, an argument began with two men fueling a green pickup truck.
