On February 21, 2009, 30-year-old Miguel Nunez was fatally shot in Houston, Texas. The incident occurred in the early morning hours outside a nightclub located in the 6000 block of Hillcroft Avenue. According to witnesses, an altercation broke out between Nunez and an unidentified male suspect in the club's parking lot. The confrontation escalated, leading the suspect to draw a firearm and shoot Nunez multiple times before fleeing the scene.
