In the early morning hours of a February weekend in 2017, a night out in downtown Denver turned tragic for Clarence Thomas, a 33-year-old man known for his kindness and dedication to his family. Thomas, a father of two young sons, found himself in the vicinity of 15th and Market streets as bars were letting out.
