A man is found stabbed in Santa Clara more than 50 years ago
On September 26, 1969, 47-year-old Wilbert Ward was found dead in Santa Clara, California. The Santa Clara Police Department began investigating his homicide after discovering his body on Sherman Street with at least one stab wound. Despite efforts by investigators, the suspect was never identified, and the case remains unsolved. Ward’s case is part of several cold cases that the Santa Clara Police Department continues to work on, with hopes that advances in forensic technology or new information from the public might help solve it.
