On May 19, 1976, Joseph Davis, age 65, was found dead in his home in San Diego, California, after a robbery gone wrong. Davis lived with his wife Adel in a small house on Cushman Place, Bay Park. He was known to carry significant amounts of cash, often using a money belt, as he was a self-employed swap meet buyer and seller.
