Eddie Meram, aged 51, was killed on the morning of May 1, 2003, in San Diego, California. Meram was the owner of Doctor J's Liquor Store, located at 5080 Logan Avenue, where he had been a well-known and liked figure in the community. On the day of his death, Eddie Meram was opening his store when he was rushed by two men. The attackers overpowered Meram, robbed him, and ultimately shot him to death.
