On April 7, 2016, Henry Kiherile, aged 32, was found shot and killed in Houston, Texas. The incident occurred late at night when Kiherile was discovered lying in the street in the 1200 block of Bigelow. Earlier that evening, Kiherile had been captured on surveillance video at a Chevron gas station at 2102 North Main Street around 10:50 p.m. pumping gas alone. It is believed that he was shot approximately 20 minutes later, around 11:08 p.m., during what appeared to be a robbery.
His personal belongings, including a laptop, iPhone, and his vehicle—a 2009 BMW—were stolen at the time of the shooting.
The stolen vehicle, a BMW 328 with Texas license plates, was later recovered on April 12 at an apartment complex on Homestead Road after being reported as suspicious. Despite the recovery, no suspects have been identified, and the case remains unsolved. Investigators have urged the public for any information that could assist in identifying those responsible for Kiherile's death. The Houston Police Department and Crime Stoppers have also offered a reward of up to $5,000 for any leads leading to the arrest of the suspects.
Kiherile's family has been actively involved in seeking justice, making public appeals for information regarding the incident. They continue to work alongside Crime Stoppers and the Houston Police Department's Homicide Division, hoping for new leads that might bring closure to the case.
