On March 31, 2017, Rosalio Sandoval, 67, was murdered in Houston, Texas, at a moving and storage business located at 12425 Chimney Rock. Sandoval was found severely injured after being struck with a crowbar by a coworker, following an apparent workplace altercation. He was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital by emergency services, where he later succumbed to his injuries. The suspect, identified as Juan Aguilus, fled the scene immediately after the attack and has remained at large since the incident. Authorities have charged Aguilus with Sandoval’s murder and have been actively seeking information on his whereabouts since May 2017.
The Houston Police Department Homicide Division has been handling this case, along with other homicide investigations within the city. The Division is responsible for addressing violent deaths and utilizes specialized units such as the Cold Case Squad, which reviews old cases for new leads, and the Gang Squad, which collaborates with federal agencies to solve gang-related homicides. Despite these efforts, the suspect remains on the run, and the family of Rosalio Sandoval, along with the authorities, is seeking any public assistance that could lead to his apprehension.
