Everett Jones, a 37-year-old from Memphis, Tennessee, was killed on November 24, 2010, in an incident involving a dispute over money. The altercation occurred after the victim, Kenneth Fason, allegedly mishandled money that had been entrusted to him. Everett Jones confronted Fason, ultimately shooting him multiple times after Fason attempted to flee. Fason sustained a severe brain injury from a shot to the head, which led to his death several weeks later.
