On a cold January night in Nashville, Tennessee, the life of 20-year-old Jeffery Montez Short was tragically cut short. On Sunday, January 29, 2012, at approximately 11:00 p.m., police responded to a report of a shooting at the Buena Vista Manor Apartments located at 2400 Buena Vista Pike. Upon arrival, they discovered Jeffery, a young father of two, lying on the ground next to his silver Nissan, the vehicle's engine still running. He had been shot multiple times.
