Birmingham police said today's death of a man shot late last year is a homicide.
Antonio Smith, 30, died at UAB Hospital this morning after being in intensive care since he was shot three times during a Dec. 20 robbery at his southwest Birmingham home.
Police spokesman Sgt. Johnny Williams Jr. said Smith's death is being investigated as a homicide. Though it happened last year, Smith is considered the first homicide of 2010.
