On November 7, 2019, 63-year-old Kim Paul "Kimbo" Walker, a well-known bartender at the Upside Down Plaza in Birmingham, Alabama, was found unresponsive in his apartment. Earlier that morning, around 2 a.m., Walker had assisted co-workers in escorting unruly patrons from the bar, during which he sustained a head injury.
