On a cold Saturday morning in Philadelphia, a burst of violence cut short the life of 26-year-old Jacqueline Garrett. Shortly after 6 a.m. on January 13, 2007, she was shot in the chest on 5th Street near Cumberland. Rushed to Temple University Hospital, medical efforts to save her were in vain, and she was pronounced dead at approximately 6:25 a.m.
