In the Overbrook section of Philadelphia, on the evening of October 4, 2008, the life of Robert Byrd, a 36-year-old Black man, was tragically cut short. Residing on the 3800 block of Fairmount Avenue, Byrd was discovered in an alleyway in the 1700 block of North Allison Street suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
