On January 20, 2010, Bajomo Adelani, a 50-year-old resident of Stowe Township, was tragically killed in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Adelani was shot in the chest while driving a passenger in his jitney—a type of informal taxi service used by many in the community. The shooting occurred on Belleau Street in Pittsburgh's North Side, and Adelani was pronounced dead at the scene.
