On January 30, 2011, Samuel Pressley, a 44-year-old man, was shot and killed in Southwest Philadelphia. The incident occurred in the vicinity of 2400 North 11th Street. Despite efforts from law enforcement to solve the case, no suspects have been arrested, and the homicide remains unsolved.
