On a Sunday in May 2016, 67-year-old Chien-Kuo Lin arrived at the North Wales home he once shared with his ex-wife, Hsiu-Chin 'Linda' Lin, to retrieve some of his belongings. Concerned for his safety, he had requested a police officer to be present. The officer stayed until Chien-Kuo had gathered his things and then departed.
