Charlene Walters, a 64-year-old grandmother, was fatally shot on October 15, 2012, while attending a youth football game in East Liberty, Pittsburgh. Charlene was an unintended target in the shooting, which injured two others during the incident. The attack took place on a Saturday evening when multiple shots were fired, hitting Charlene and two other individuals—a 33-year-old woman who was shot in the hand and a 27-year-old man who was critically wounded.
