Chalalai Chaihirunkarn, age 26, was found dead on January 29, 2015, in a Pittsburgh apartment she shared with her boyfriend, Bryan Springer, in what was determined to be a murder-suicide. Chalalai was a Ph.D. student at Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) studying computer science, while Springer, age 29, was an alumnus of CMU and worked at its Software Engineering Institute.
