Vernon Freeman, a 45-year-old resident of Philadelphia, was killed on April 12, 2013. The incident occurred in the Kingsessing section of Southwest Philadelphia. Police found Vernon in the driver's seat of a 2013 Dodge Charger on South 52nd Street, near Springfield Avenue, shortly before 5:15 p.m. He had been shot multiple times in the upper body and was pronounced dead at the scene.
