Antoin Dudley, age 35, was fatally shot on November 2, 2013, in Pittsburgh’s Beltzhoover neighborhood. The incident occurred at around 3:30 a.m. when Dudley and his girlfriend were returning to her apartment on East Warrington Avenue after visiting a convenience store. As the couple approached the steps leading up to the house, an unknown assailant opened fire from the street, unleashing at least 15 rounds in their direction.
In an attempt to escape the gunfire, Dudley and his girlfriend ran towards the side of the house. Dudley collapsed shortly after, and with the help of an unidentified teenager, his girlfriend managed to pull him inside the residence. When the police arrived, they found Dudley on the kitchen floor with multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The Allegheny County medical examiner later ruled the death as a homicide.
At the time of the shooting, six people, including children ranging from 11 months to 22 years old, were inside the home. A 15-year-old girl also suffered a minor injury when a bullet grazed her arm. Despite these tragic circumstances, no information regarding a suspect or motive has been released by the authorities, and the case remains under investigation. Pittsburgh police have urged anyone with information to contact the homicide squad.
