Shaquille Maynor, a 19-year-old from Pittsburgh, was killed in a double homicide on December 14, 2015, at the Homewood North apartment complex. The incident occurred just after midnight when the Pittsburgh police were notified by the ShotSpotter gunshot detection system that nine rounds had been fired at an apartment building on Brushton Avenue.
