On a cool Sunday evening in Philadelphia, March 2, 2014, the life of 29-year-old Yusef Henderson was tragically cut short. Henderson, a Black male, was on the 900 block of East Shiller Street when violence erupted.
At approximately 8:28 p.m., Philadelphia Police officers were called to the scene, where they discovered Henderson lying in the street, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
He was rushed to Temple University Hospital in an effort to save his life.
Despite the urgent medical attention, Yusef Henderson succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital that same night. Originally from the 2700 block of North 8th Street, his death left a void in the lives of those who knew him. The case remains an open investigation, and as of now, no arrests have been made and no suspects have been publicly identified in connection with his murder.
