Maurice Owens, a 27-year-old Philadelphia resident, was fatally shot on June 8, 2014. The incident occurred in the early morning hours at approximately 5:25 a.m. on the 2500 block of North 31st Street. Maurice was discovered lying between two parked vehicles, suffering from a gunshot wound to his back. Despite efforts by medical personnel, he was pronounced dead at the scene at 5:40 a.m.
