On August 22, 2014, Tina Crawford, 34, was shot and killed outside her home in the Hill District neighborhood of Pittsburgh. Crawford was standing in the entrance of a garage attached to the home she shared with her mother, Patsy Crawford, when the incident occurred. Around 3:21 p.m., as the mother and daughter were preparing to leave for meetings related to Tina’s role as a cooperating witness in a federal drug-trafficking case, three gunmen ambushed them.
