In the early moments of a Thursday morning in Pittsburgh's Hill District, the life of 26-year-old Ramar Grant was tragically cut short. Just after midnight on August 13, 2015, gunshots echoed through an apartment building on Bedford Avenue. Responding to the call, police discovered Grant on the second floor, having been shot. Paramedics pronounced the Garfield man dead at the scene, his life taken in what authorities would investigate as a homicide.
