In the quiet neighborhood of Mount Oliver, a suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the afternoon of Saturday, August 3, 2024, was shattered by the sound of gunfire. Dana C. Burks, a 49-year-old male, was found shot in the doorway of his home on Amanda Avenue. First responders arrived around 12:30 p.m. to find Burks deceased at the scene. His family described him as a loving and caring family man, a husband, and a father to seven children, including a toddler under two years old.
