James Kesch, a 21-year-old gas station attendant, was murdered on September 6, 1982, in Portland, Oregon. He was discovered at the Chevron station on N Lombard Street, shot during what is believed to have been an attempted robbery. Despite signs of a struggle, no money was stolen, and Kesch died shortly after being taken to the hospital.
