The murder of 20-year-old Gustavo Espinoza remains one of Portland's cold cases, unsolved since 1984. Espinoza, a young man originally from Mexico, was found dead on February 24, 1984, in a remote area near NE Cornfoot Road in Portland, Oregon. His body was discovered by a passerby, lying amid blackberry bushes near the Columbia Slough. He had died from a gunshot wound.
