On August 8, 2009, 42-year-old Gregory Allen Toeniskoetter was found dead in his Southwest Portland apartment after friends reported they hadn't heard from him in several days. When officers entered his home for a welfare check, they discovered his body on the floor. Investigators believe his death may have been the result of a robbery gone wrong, and his cause of death was ruled as homicidal violence.
