Do you know who murdered Roy? In May of 1974, the life of Roy Gilbert Cutsinger, a 55-year-old male, was brought to a tragic and violent end in his Tulsa, Oklahoma apartment. His body was discovered by his apartment manager and a maintenance worker on the morning of May 24th. The maintenance worker had passed by Roy's apartment earlier that morning and noted the door was closed, only to find it open upon his return shortly after 9 a.m.
Upon entering the apartment, the manager and worker found Roy lying on his side,
his body cold to the touch. It was determined that he had sustained at least 15 stab wounds to his head. While the murder weapon was recovered at the scene, details about it have not been publicly released. There were no signs of a struggle within the apartment, though it appeared that another bed besides Roy's had been slept in. Investigators believe that Roy was killed by someone he knew, and that he was likely attacked while he was asleep. The last time he was seen alive was the evening before, around 8 p.m., when he was helping a neighbor bathe a dog. At the time of his death, Roy was the materials supervisor for Cities Service Oil Co. and was a veteran of World War II, having served as a Master Sergeant. His murder remains an unsolved cold case, with no arrests having been made and no suspects publicly identified.
